Shot peening equipment
Shot peening is a special process of blasting that bombards a metallic surface with round abrasive in order to compress the surface. Compression makes the metal surface stronger and because of this the lifespan of such metal piece is longer. Sandblasting makes the wear of nozzles, so nozzle has to be made of quality material, like boron carbide. With shot peening nozzle directs the parts of abrasive material in wanted direction, so it is very important if you want to achieve the best results with sandblaster machine.
Shot peening is being widely used for many mechanic parts because it makes them a lot stronger. Parts that are modified by shot peening last a lot longer and can be used in conjuction with other parts which are under high physical pressure.
